It is already acceptable in VIC and WA, and a large number of Australian companies are adopting it now. A 5 year transitional period, that will expire on 31 December 2016, has been provided by Worksafe Australia for companies to implement the new system.

This certified course will allow participants to transition their ISO 14001 certified system to the updated standard and conduct audits against the ISO 14001:2015 standard. This course is aimed at individuals that are responsible for implementing or maintaining an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on ISO 14001.
