came into effect October 2018<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Changes to ADG 7.6\u00a0<em>(Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail 7.6 Edition) &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>MUST be implemented from 1 July 2019<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Ongoing changes and implementation of the\u00a0<em>Victorian OHS Regulations 2017<\/em>\u00a0as it relates to\u00a0<em>Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)<\/em><br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Changes to GHS as it applies all States and Terriroties\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Updated Compliance Code for Hazardous Substances (Vic)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">and more&#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This\u00a0practical Workshop is designed to bring you up to speed with the regulatory\u00a0requirements\u00a0and practical applications\u00a0for the safe Storage and Handling, and Transport by Road and Rail of Dangerous Goods including Hazardous Substances\/Chemicals to Intermediate Level.\u00a0 The Workshop will also compare Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances\/Chemical laws and requirements between Australian states and territories.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Organisations have an obligation to ensure your staff receive appropriate training and that your site is compliant with dangerous goods laws and requirements. \u00a0The AEBN recommends that staff receive refresher training every 2 to 3 years, and certainly when changes are announced.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Note:\u00a0 Please advise the AEBN of the state(s) and territories that you have responsibility for, to ensure this information is covered in this Workshop.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Program<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Workshop will include:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Storage and Handling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dangerous Goods and Substance Registers \/ Placarding of bulk and packaged storage, Dangerous Goods Manifest \/ Fire Protection Quantities<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Segregation and incompatibilities of chemicals<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Segregation rules and techniques &#8211; segregation devices (stores and vehicles)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bunding rules for the safe storage of chemicals<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Placarding and Signage<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Risk assessment requirements<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">and much more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dangerous Goods Road and Rail Transport<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Segregation<\/li>\n<li>Labeling, Placarding and Signage<\/li>\n<li>Limited Quantity Packing and Labelling<\/li>\n<li>Transport Documentation<\/li>\n<li>Bulk delivery, and<strong><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><br \/><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>much more.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Course notes will be provided on a USB.\u00a0 Delegates may bring along laptops (fully charged).
