Released December 2016<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p> <b>INTRODUCTORY LEVEL WORKSHOP &#8211;\u00a0AM Half Day,\u00a09 MARCH 2017<\/p>\n<p><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Australian Environment Business Network (AEBN) has developed the <strong><em>Introductory Level to Dangerous Goods Storage, Handling and Transport Workshop\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>to bring you up to speed with\u00a0Dangerous Goods (Storage, Handling) Regulations,\u00a0requirements and your obligations for businesses with operations in\u00a0Victoria, including transport requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Workshop is\u00a0designed for personnel who have a basic and general understanding of the storage, handling and transport of Dangerous Goods in Victoria; and personnel requiring a refresher course to ensure you are up to date with the changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As each state has different Dangerous Goods laws and requirements,\u00a0this Workshop\u00a0will\u00a0cover &#8211;\u00a0the\u00a09 Classes of Dangerous Goods; Safety Data Sheets (SDS); Dangerous Goods labelling with Globally Harmonised System (GHS) labelling,\u00a0discussion on the new Code of Practice for Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods and\u00a0much more.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>The Workshop is\u00a0designed for personnel who have a basic and general understanding of the storage, handling and transport of Dangerous Goods in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Please note:\u00a0 Organisations have an obligation to ensure they are up to date and compliant with dangerous goods laws\u00a0and that staff receive appropriate training.\u00a0 The AEBN recommends that staff receive refresher training every 2 to 3 years, and certainly when changes\u00a0are\u00a0introduced.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Program<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <em>NEW<\/em> <strong>Australian Code of the Transport for Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail Edition 7.5<\/strong> (ADG7.5)<\/li>\n<li>Dangerous Goods labelling\u00a0and Globally Harmonised System (GHS) labelling<\/li>\n<li>An overview of the Dangerous Goods (Storage &amp; Handling) Regulations<\/li>\n<li>Chain of responsibility and safety obligations for manufacturers, occupiers, loaders, transferors, etc. Understanding the terminology, such as Proper Shipping Name, Class, Subsidiary Risk, Packing Group, UN Number, HAZCHEM Code and\u00a0more<\/li>\n<li>9 Classes of Dangerous Goods from ADG7.5<\/li>\n<li>Classifications of Dangerous Goods<\/li>\n<li>The incompatibilities within Classes and their hazards<\/li>\n<li>Discussion\u00a0on the Code of Practice for Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods<\/li>\n<li>Changes to Safety Data Sheets (SDS)<\/li>\n<li>Sources of information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is highly recommended that delegates that wish to\u00a0attend the <em>Intermediate Level to Dangerous Goods Storage, Handling and Transport Workshop<\/em> (that follows immediately after the <em>Introductory Level<\/em> <em>Workshop<\/em>) are to have a sound understanding of the\u00a0information covered in\u00a0this Workshop &#8211;
