As each state has different Dangerous Goods laws and requirements, this practical Workshop will include segregation of dangerous goods rules; chemical compatibility; placarding of stores, vehicles and containers; labelling; bunding rules of storage of dangerous goods; risk assessment requirements and much more.

From 1 January 2017, the GHS for Classifying and Labelling of Chemicals will be mandatory in NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, ACT, NT and Commonwealth jurisdictions. It is already acceptable in VIC and WA, and a large number of Australian companies are adopting it now. A 5 year transitional period, that will expire on 31 December 2016, has been provided by Worksafe Australia for companies to implement the new system.
